I must admit, I’m not much of a supporter of general television – the last show I watched with ant fevor was ‘Quantum Leap’, and before that, ‘Night Court’ (Yes, I was a rather odd child.).
Aside from the few decent documentaries on Discovery, the three or four shows on the Histroy Channel that aren’t entirely revolving around Hitler’s underpants, and, of course, some PBS and BBC America – I find nothing worth watching.
That is, until I ‘downgraded’ from Digital Cable, and got the ‘TV Guide Channel’. It’s just the same tripe rerun over and over with a listing opf the shows that you might view, with a few differences every other day.
I rarely pay any attention, but it is a nice bit of ‘background’ noise, and I am kept abreast of virtually nothing, and it takes absolutely NO THOUGHT WHATSOEVER! Today I had a snicker at the expense of the host of the ‘music’ segment, K. D. Wagner, as ewll as did whoever writes her script: She was giving ‘happy birthday’ wishes to Punk Rocker Neil Doamond, and I also found out that Mark Walberg (Markie Mark) was a ‘former New Kid on the Block’.
Hmmm, evidently it doesn’t take all that much to amuse me. ;)
