Not unlike my own libOSXCompat, libslack provides functional routines and shims for use on systems that lack semi-standard functions. An overview of these functions is available upon the libslack.org web pages, here.

I’ve ported this set of routines to MacOS X, a binary release with manpages, headers, and a static library, as well as a diff against the initial source is here.

This code is primarily based upon BSD and public domain, with GPL’d routines by raf.
