We’ve all become far too used to getting spam – myself, even with custom filters and homegrown Bayes filters, get a few that trickle through. Those are easy to contend with.

I eventually dredge through the dreaded ‘spam’ tagged messages as well, just to be sure that my system is accurate, and to keep abreast of the latest techniques they’re using in an attempt to get me to buy their product. While I’ve got nearly three thousand on a good day, it doesn’t take too many for me to become annoyed, and just skim through the content. The following subject made me grin, all the same:

Subject: Elvis has left the building uk zy qzxews

Yes, folks, the king has made his exit. There will be no encore.

(Only after I started to post this did I make a rather disturbing connection between Elvis, and this spam being for an disreputable pharmaceuticals resale company. Perhaps they should be a bit more careful about which lines, and which concepts they wish to embrace – I’d like to think anyone receiving the above would think twice before getting prescription drugs without a doctor’s assistance!)
