[Site] CVSWeb testing, YAFP (Yet another Fortune Port)

I’ve configured CVSWeb to browse the current heirarchy of some of my tools and utilities, as well as a couple of ports – jzintv, libmikmod, and Rollator.

[Edit: 29.10.2003: Products superceeded or no-longer supported have been removed.]

I’m not really sure if anyone out there has a use for it, but if you want to take a look at a few hokey bourne utilities, or perhaps have a look at a few of my toys, I’ve got it publically available.

Since everyone and their dog’s done it, I figured it was my turn. I intially ‘ported’ fortune from *BSD aeons ago, intending to use it as a ‘proof of concept’ of my libOSXcompat library. Since I figured it wasn’t worthy of being bundled, I didn’t put it in. I went back through the code and copied the single *BSD library function required for fortune to work, and modified a whole line of code in fortune itself to make it work. A whole line – but, but, I typed it myself! ;)

Charles Mercadal created a Macintosh related fortune file which I’ve included with my port. It should be pretty portable to any UNIX OS, or workalike; the only real requirement is GNU make; that’s what I’ve written the Makefiles for.
